We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer, an experienced software engineer, who will contribute to the solutions that keep our customers compliant with country e-invoicing and tax reporting mandates. Your role will be focused on building the country-specific capabilities that connect invoices, credit notes and purchase orders to government tax portals and clearance networks, using the latest technologies and AI-assisted ways of working to deliver large-scale, high-performance, enterprise-grade solutions. This is a hands-on technology role, ideal for candidates seeking opportunities to both build on their existing experience and research new knowledge areas, with a significant share of design and exploratory elements to their day-to-day tasks. Every country mandate brings a different set of rules, formats and deadlines, so no two modules look the same. You will be working alongside engineers and developers from the Invoice Lifecycle Management (ILM) Teams, assisted by our AI Engineering team, and in integration with other Basware solutions. The product you will be contributing to is targeted at large, well-known enterprises. Key responsibilities: Design and implement country extension modules against the platform's shared frameworks and architectural conventions. Build and maintain REST APIs and service layers that carry compliance traffic to and from government portals. Implement compliance logic: XML and JSON schema validation, digital signature handling, submission to and status polling from government portals. Write automated tests as part of a TDD workflow, covering both unit and integration levels. Participate actively in code and design reviews, and help hold the quality bar across the team. Work with the Lead Developer and QA to harden the performance, security and resilience of compliance flows. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and help diagnose and fix production issues. Use AI coding assistants as part of the daily workflow, critically reviewing and validating what they generate.
