Job Description
We are seeking an expert for a demanding and versatile customer service role. The primary goal of the expert is to support clients in quickly finding employment or developing their skills to improve their employment prospects. The expert works with job seekers at various stages of their careers, with different work and education histories. The core tasks include job placement and guiding job seekers in job searching and skill development. The role also emphasizes acting in an official capacity. Practical duties include advising and guiding job seekers, initiating service processes, identifying service needs, offering suitable employment-promoting services, and clarifying unemployment security matters. The expert aims to promote employment and match the labor market needs in collaboration with employers, education providers, and other networks to help job seekers find employment faster and ensure employers get skilled workforce. The expert is responsible for the statutory service process for job seeker clients as an official, making decisions related to discretionary labor services, investigating clients’ unemployment benefits rights, and providing binding labor policy statements to the unemployment benefit payer. Clients are served through multiple channels: face-to-face, by phone, and via video connection. We consider all applications received during the application period. The selection will be made after the application period ends and interviews are completed. The planned interview times are flexible during weeks 29 and 31 of July. We use anonymous recruitment. Qualifications: Suitable higher education degree We require experience in guidance-based and solution-focused customer work. The candidate must be prepared to act in an official capacity, applying relevant laws, guidelines, and regulations, and making independent decisions considering the customer’s service needs. Excellent cooperation and negotiation skills, a positive and development-oriented attitude, initiative, information-gathering skills, the ability to see the big picture, organizational and leadership skills, and resilience under pressure are required. A customer-oriented, caring, and empathetic approach is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also required. We primarily serve customers in Finnish or Swedish. Practical customer work also requires proficiency in English. Additional language skills are an advantage. We value current experience in employment services and job placement. Knowledge of the regional labor market situation and networks, as well as up-to-date understanding of job searching across different sectors, is appreciated. Familiarity with multiculturalism and the specific needs of clients with foreign language backgrounds is also valued.
