We are seeking a firefighter for a permanent official position at Keski-Suomen pelastuslaitos (Central Finland Rescue Department) in Viitasaari. The role begins on 2 November 2026 or by agreement. As a firefighter, your duties include participating in firefighting operations, providing emergency medical care, and carrying out safety communications and supervision to prevent accidents. The position requires willingness to operate in demanding and rapidly changing situations and to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a professional who wants to maintain and develop their skills and commit to the diverse tasks of the rescue services. The position uses a total pay system, and we pay additional professional allowances after 3 years (4%) and after 5 years (8%). Please also note the favorable public sector terms for holidays.
