Substitute Teacher

We offer short-term substitute positions for teachers and for school-life staff such as after-school activity supervisors. The job is suitable for professionals in the field as well as students and those who are interested in the sector. Tuusula has 18 basic education schools: 11 elementary, 3 comprehensive, 2 secondary, one hospital school, and one Swedish-language school (grades 1–6). We expect substitutes to be adaptable to different work communities, proactive, able to work independently, and to have good interpersonal skills; applicants must be at least 18 years old. Where the future group interview times are announced, we may have group interviews in October/November/February depending on application timeline. Selected substitutes will be required to present a criminal background check before acceptance into the substitute system. We train new substitutes on how to use the substitute calendar and essential job-related matters. We use an electronic calendar to receive job offers for days you can work.
