Would you like to leverage your expertise in testing and measurement technology in a demanding expert role where you can influence the ways of working of an international supplier network and quality assurance? We are looking for a testing and supplier quality expert for our client in a new role. In the position you will define testing methods and quality assurance requirements for mechanical components and ensure that suppliers’ methods, measurement systems, and reporting meet the set requirements. The role is not focused on the practical execution of tests, but as a testing methods expert you will facilitate collaboration between the client’s product development, operations, and international component suppliers, assess supplier readiness, guide the development of testing practices, and ensure compliance with technical requirements across the supply chain. Methods to be handled may include dimensional inspections, coordinate measurements, laser tracker, 3D scanning, materials and weld joint testing, and other verification methods for mechanical components. Work is mainly conducted at the client’s facilities in the Helsinki region. Remote work is possible depending on tasks, project situation, and customer needs. You may also work at Comatec’s Vantaa office. Occasional supplier visits abroad are included. Typical responsibilities include defining testing methods, measurement systems and QA requirements based on product requirements and design specifications; ensuring supplier tests, measurements and reporting meet customer requirements; evaluating, validating and developing supplier testing methods and measurement systems; participating in supplier evaluations, audits and validation of testing methods; acting as a link between client internal stakeholders and suppliers and, when needed, interviewing and guiding suppliers in meeting testing requirements.

Responsibilities
- Define testing methods, measurement systems and QA requirements for supplier components based on product requirements and design specifications
- Ensure supplier tests, measurements and reporting meet customer requirements
- Evaluate, validate and develop supplier testing methods and measurement systems
- Participate in supplier evaluations, audits and validation of testing methods
- Serve as a liaison between client internal stakeholders and suppliers and, when needed, interview and guide suppliers in meeting testing requirements
Requirements
- A suitable technical higher university degree in e.g. mechanical, manufacturing, materials or metrology
