- Frame product problems as ML problems and pick the right approach (ranking, retrieval, classification, sequence models, LLM agents)
- Run end-to-end data exploration, offline evaluation, prototypes, online experiments
- Own offline metrics (NDCG, recall@k, AUC, calibration) and tie to online metrics (booking lift, retention, GMV)
- Ship models to production with engineering team
- Develop LLM-powered features across HostCopilot and Pal-facing surfaces
- Build agentic systems with tool use, RAG, structured outputs, human-in-the-loop
- 5+ years of applied ML experience shipping models to production
- Track record of shipping features that moved a metric
- Strong Python and SQL
- Experience with ranking/recommendation systems, NLP/embeddings, LLMs and agents
- Familiarity with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, FAISS, sentence-transformers, AWS
- Advanced degree in ML/CS/stats (PhD bonus)
