Nebius is building a full-stack AI cloud platform for data, model training, and deployment. Senior Applied ML Engineer will design, train, and deploy ML models for retrieval, reranking, and search relevance in production. You will build embedding-based indexing and large-scale retrieval systems, support crawling and content understanding, and define quality metrics for agent-native search. You’ll work on systems at very large scale with high-throughput query workloads, collaborating with engineering teams to integrate ML models into production services and optimize latency, quality, and cost. Must have 5+ years of software engineering or applied machine learning, strong programming skills in Python, Go, or C++, proven experience deploying ML models in production, and experience with retrieval, ranking, and NLP systems. Nice-to-haves include experience with search systems or large-scale information retrieval, embeddings, transformers, and LLM-powered or agent-based systems.
