Villa Breda's residential unit provides long-term 24-hour service housing for the elderly. 24-hour service housing is comparable to living at home, where residents receive assistance and services according to their service needs. The residential unit consists of four group homes, each with 15 apartments. As a practical nurse, you will act as a primary caregiver for clients and collaborate with team members. You will ensure that clients' well-being and care needs are met and participate in the administration of medication. Eligibility requirements: education as a practical nurse or other equivalent education. Those acting under the title of practical nurse are required to have the right to use the appropriate protected professional title for the position. We also require vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate according to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. Those selected for employment may be randomly asked for a drug test certificate in accordance with the substance abuse program of the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county. Starting 1.1.2024, the person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract necessary for verifying the criminal background of a person working with elderly people, in accordance with Section 28 of Act 741/2023. Additionally, we require sufficient written and oral skills in Finnish and Swedish. We also require an interest in promoting the well-being of our elderly clients and the ability to operate in changing client situations. Valid medication permits or the completion of them are required.
