This is a permanent position for a preschool teacher at Havukallion day-care center in Vantaa, starting 1 September 2026. Havukallion day-care is located in a nature-oriented, forested residential area with good transport connections. Nature is a core part of children’s learning environment, and the local environment is used extensively in activities. The unit has five groups and recently renovated facilities, offering opportunities to work in updated spaces alongside other staff to create engaging and functional learning environments. We aim to meet every child warmly, support their individuality, strengths, and encouragement. Play, participation, language development, and social skills are central to our pedagogy. We want children to learn, try, and succeed in a safe atmosphere. Our pedagogy is supported by a broad and specialized early childhood education pedagogue and development teacher; ProVaka model is used in our unit. You will join a skilled and collaborative team where we support one another and can share expertise. The unit also hosts practicum students and you may guide and mentor future professionals. We expect you to be sensitive, warm, cooperative, flexible, and committed to high-quality pedagogy with good Finnish language skills.
