A well-built tomorrow is made together. We are seeking experienced site managers for railway construction projects. We carry out railway work of all sizes throughout Finland. Our strength is our broad expertise, and we are particularly interested in railway projects requiring specialist skills, such as railways built through growing urban centres. The work requires readiness to travel because the projects are located throughout Finland. As site manager, you are responsible for the daily management of the site and for ensuring that work progresses according to plan. You lead the work community positively and encouragingly, fostering good team spirit. You work closely with stakeholders such as clients, designers and subcontractors. You ensure that safety, schedule and quality always remain priorities. You work in a solution-oriented way and can make decisions independently. You genuinely want to ensure that everyone involved in a project feels heard and that cooperation runs smoothly, while projects progress purposefully toward their goals. What will help you succeed: - At least three years of experience in comparable railway construction duties. - A degree in construction engineering, construction management or other suitable construction education. - Proficiency in using various systems and digital tools in daily work. - A proactive, solution-oriented approach and ability to understand the big picture. - Collaboration skills and an innovative approach to work. - Flexibility, open-mindedness and willingness to challenge yourself. How you succeed at YIT: You understand customer needs, and customer value guides your daily work and decisions. You work toward goals, take responsibility and complete work to a high standard. You take initiative to develop your area of responsibility and working practices. You learn from experience, share your expertise openly and use what you learn to improve your own and shared performance. You work openly with others and treat people with respect. You build trust and psychological safety so that we can succeed together. What we offer: Opportunities for continuous learning and building your career path; support for your development at different career stages; varied and meaningful work where you can see your contribution to the whole; courageous leadership that supports you toward clear shared goals and practices, coaches you to excel and encourages you to take responsibility. We look after your wellbeing with extensive occupational healthcare and benefits such as a lunch benefit and sports, culture and wellbeing benefits. YIT is a workplace where professionals want to stay and develop, and was recognised as the construction industry's most attractive employer (Universum 2025). Your team works together with other site personnel in an open environment that encourages cooperation. Sharing expertise and supporting one another are a natural part of everyday work. We want you to succeed in your new role from the start. Clear expectations, open communication and planned onboarding support your start. Your manager supports you from day one, and regular discussions help you succeed and settle into your new role. A well-built tomorrow is made together—apply to join us.
