Our activities include domestic environmental service, supporting global development work in Africa and India, and informing about environmental and global development. We raise funds by selling used clothes and establishing financial partnerships for global development programs. We are now hiring part-time salespersons for our store in Oulu. The job is versatile: besides customer service and cash handling, you will handle recycled clothes through various processing steps, and you will often explain UFF’s charitable work to customers. You will also maintain store order, cleaning, warehouse tasks and other duties. We would like you to be: interested in clothing and fashion (material and brand knowledge, pricing awareness), outwardly oriented with a positive attitude, committed to goals and able to take responsibility, efficient, precise and creative, physically capable, flexible with shifts, 18 years or older (the work may involve solitary tasks). Experience or training in retail or clothing is desirable; previous sales experience is especially valued. Working with recycled clothes can be dusty, so the job is not suitable for asthmatics or dust allergies. The positions are part-time (25 hours/week), one fixed-term and one permanent. Shifts are spread across different days of the week. Start date according to contract and pay according to the Trade TES for the retail sector.
