As an early childhood social worker, you will join a multidisciplinary team in planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities in collaboration with other professionals. You will be responsible for collaboration with families and safeguarding children's well-being. Your duties include strengthening belonging and participation with guardians and other family actoro. You will help develop services and new practices focused on child and family well-being and community. You will be responsible for promoting children’s well-being and guiding children, families and guardians. The position is located at Y.E.S. Daycare, a multicultural bilingual facility (English and Finnish) in Hagelstamintie, Vantaa. The day-care has eight groups, including two pre-kindergarten groups, and the social worker duties are in the 3–5-year-old group this season. We emphasize listening to the child with sensitivity and being present in daily life, respecting the child as an individual and as a member of the group. We offer opportunities to influence matters concerning the child. We see the child’s growth, development and learning as a positive path to walk together with the child, parents and the whole team. Our operating culture is developed on the basis of research evidence. ProVaka is used in our unit to support children's social skills.
