About the role

Lead the development and execution of Cisco Security's integrated marketing strategy for Germany, aligning marketing investments with business priorities to build awareness, generate demand, accelerate pipeline, support customer growth, and strengthen retention. As the marketing lead for one of EMEA's largest markets, you will serve as the strategic marketing partner to German sales leadership while collaborating across the EMEA Marketing organisation to deliver measurable business outcomes. Meet the Team Success in this role requires strong collaboration across a highly matrixed organisation. You'll work closely with regional and global teams to deliver integrated marketing programmes with consistent execution. Key Stakeholders Germany Sales Leadership, Germany Security Sales Specialists, Technical Sales and Solutions Engineering, ADR/SDR and Virtual Sales Teams, EMEA Security Marketing Team, EMEA Field Marketing, EMEA Partner Marketing, Communications, PR and Social Media teams, Marketing Operations, Customer Advocacy, Cisco Corporate Marketing and External agencies and event partners. Your Impact As the Marketing Lead for Germany, you will own the country marketing strategy and execution for Cisco Security, driving integrated marketing programmes that accelerate pipeline growth and deepen customer engagement. This is a strategic, hands-on role for an organised, proactive, data-driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. You will manage the Germany marketing budget, develop integrated campaigns aligned to business priorities, and execute targeted programmes that increase brand awareness, generate qualified demand, accelerate opportunities, and strengthen customer advocacy. - Develop and execute an integrated field marketing strategy for Germany, aligning with EMEA Security business priorities and sales objectives. - Build annual and quarterly marketing plans incorporating digital marketing, demand generation, partner marketing, channel initiatives, Cisco campaigns, PR, communications, customer marketing, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM). - Act as the primary security marketing business partner for the German Sales leadership, ensuring close alignment on priorities, pipeline goals, target accounts, and execution plans. - Plan and execute multi-channel marketing programmes across the buyer journey, including: Executive engagement programmes, Customer and partner events, Third-party conferences and trade shows, Virtual experiences and webinars, Digital campaigns, Pipeline acceleration programmes and Sales prospecting initiatives. - Partner closely with sales and product marketing to identify priority accounts and execute targeted ABM programmes designed to drive net-new logo acquisition and accelerate strategic opportunities. - Drive audience acquisition through multiple channels including regional sales teams, partners, SDRs, digital marketing, Cisco marketing channels, and external agencies. - Develop event programmes from concept through execution, ensuring exceptional attendee experiences while meeting budget, quality, and ROI objectives. - Coordinate customer activations by partnering with Marketing Operations to build registration pages, automate campaign workflows, manage lead processing, and ensure a consistent customer experience across channels. - Manage lead import, data quality, and campaign operations to maximise marketing effectiveness. - Track programme performance using funnel metrics, pipeline reporting, campaign analytics, and ROI measurements; continuously optimise programmes based on insights and performance data. - Produce regular business reviews and performance updates for sales and marketing leadership, providing actionable recommendations and identifying trends and opportunities. - Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights within Germany to inform marketing strategy. - Partner with Customer Advocacy to increase customer references, success stories, and testimonials across Germany. - Support broader EMEA Security Marketing initiatives and cross-functional projects where required. Experience & Qualifications - Proven experience developing and executing integrated field marketing or regional marketing strategies that deliver measurable pipeline growth. - Experience partnering closely with enterprise sales organisations, including joint planning, execution, lead management, and pipeline acceleration. - Strong knowledge of demand generation, account-based marketing, digital marketing, event marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, and channel marketing. - Demonstrated experience delivering multi-channel campaigns across all stages of the customer journey. - Experience managing both digital and in-person events, integrating event experiences into broader marketing programmes. - Strong understanding of CRM systems, marketing automation, lead management, and campaign measurement. - Experience using Salesforce, Eloqua (or equivalent marketing automation platform), Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
