Kuhmo is a forest-centered town in Finland known for its high-quality music and literature culture, chamber music, Kalevala, and a strong communal lifestyle valuing sharing, expertise and quality. We are seeking a proactive, outgoing and energetic fitness instructor for a permanent position. The workplace is located at Kuhmo swimming pool. Duties include swimming supervision, guiding water-exercise groups, swimming instruction, event production, cashier service and customer guidance as well as tasks related to the operation of the sports facility. We require ability to operate as a lifeguard per Tukes’ instructions. A degree in fitness instruction, lifeguard training, water-exercise leadership and current first-aid skills are advantageous. Prior experience in similar roles is valued. We expect responsibility-taking, flexibility and teamwork. The position is full-time and includes evening and Saturday work. The applicant must be at least 18 years old and fluent in Finnish. The selected person must present a valid criminal-record extract regarding work with children within 30 days of the decision. The employment starts 1 September 2026 or by agreement. A six-month probation period applies. Work hours are determined by the pool’s operations.
