What you’ll be doing: As the Data Scientist, you will work as part of a cross-functional team delivering data, automation, and AI solutions that support Markets Business teams. Main responsibilities in this role: Delivering solutions that create business impact - Partner with Markets Business teams, analysts, and developers to identify opportunities and define impactful AI and automation development initiatives - Translate business challenges into production-ready solutions that improve efficiency and decision-making, working hands-on across the full lifecycle from exploration to delivery Building data and analytics capabilities - Work with complex datasets and develop machine learning and AI pipelines spanning clustering, classification, regression, forecasting, and other advanced analytical use cases - Design, develop, and maintain production-ready data workflows and model pipelines in Python and SQL, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability - Contribute to a scalable data foundation by ensuring high data quality, integrity, and reusability across analytical, AI, and operational use cases Improving and scaling adoption - Apply and help strengthen best practices within MLOps, AI engineering, and software development; including version control, testing, containerised workflows, and deployment - Monitor outcomes, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement to ensure adoption and optimisation Who you are This is the right role for you if: - Enjoy turning business challenges into practical solutions - Take ownership and turn ideas into outcomes - Have a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset focused on delivering value - Work effectively across business and technology teams - Combine strong analytical thinking with a bias for action - Balance attention to detail with the ability to keep sight of the bigger picture Your background and skills include: - A Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field - Experience analysing large datasets and applying statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques to solve business problems - Experience using data, machine learning, and AI to solve business problems, improve processes, and deliver tangible outcomes - Strong programming skills in Python and experience working with SQL - Familiarity with machine learning, generative AI and LLM-based applications, and the ability to match the right tool to the problem; from low-code platforms (e.g. Copilot Studio) to custom-built solutions - Hands-on experience with modern development practices and tools such as Git, Docker, and APIs What we offer - A culture that fosters performance and growth in one of the largest Nordic banks, offering various opportunities to evolve, develop and learn from brilliant colleagues with diverse backgrounds in a vibrant working environment. - Hybrid working model – we believe in the value of bringing people together and at the same time we embrace the freedom of flexibility. - Diversity and inclusion are a natural part of our daily work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Markets Business teams to identify AI and automation opportunities
  • Translate business challenges into production-ready AI solutions
  • Develop machine learning and AI pipelines for clustering, classification, regression, and forecasting
  • Design and maintain data workflows in Python and SQL

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Experience analysing large datasets and applying statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques to solve business problems
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience working with SQL
  • Familiarity with generative AI and LLM-based applications
  • Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, and APIs
