Construction trades teacher

This vacancy is at Järviseudun koulutuskuntayhtymä, which seeks a full-time construction trades hourly teacher for a fixed-term appointment from 19 October 2026 to 31 July 2027. The position involves teaching theory and practical aspects of the Building Construction basic degree, and includes collaboration with industry, evaluation of learning and competencies, documentation, and planning and implementation of individual learning paths. The candidate should have strong professional construction skills and an interest in guiding students. The applicant must have 60 credits or 35 credits of pedagogical studies for teacher in vocational subjects according to regulation 986/1998, §13, and a suitable higher education degree. If formally qualified applicants are lacking, other education or strong experience will be considered. The workplace is in Lappajärvi, but driving license and own car are required. The position starts 19 October 2026 or by agreement. A four-month trial period applies. Salary and terms follow municipal OVTES annual working hours system.
