Church Musician

Savonlinna Parish has an I church musician position available in the Savonranta church district. The officeholder will carry out church musician duties especially in the Savonranta church district and, depending on work schedules, also throughout the parish. Savonranta has a parish singing group and project-based choir activities for schoolchildren. A cantor’s qualification is not required, but the knowledge and skills needed for the duties are essential. Work experience as a cantor or church musician is a significant advantage. Use of your own car is practically essential for carrying out the official duties. The position starts on 1 February 2027 or as agreed. If you have good collaboration skills, a commitment to parish work and enthusiasm for serving people through music, you may be the person we are looking for. The appointment includes a six-month probationary period. The person selected must be a confirmed member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland and, before the appointment is confirmed, must provide a medical certificate concerning their health issued by an occupational health physician, as well as a criminal record extract under section 6(2) of the Criminal Records Act.
