Responsibilities
- Review and validation of drawings of marine constructions and equipment within the limits of the applicable Rules, Regulations and delegations
- Continuous development of the level of technical content and data on which the professional judgement is based
- Attend meetings and workshops directly or indirectly in connection with design review
- Act as focal point for technical matters related to BV Rules & Regulations and national or international Regulations
- Prepare reports, time-sheets, account details and other information for further processing
- Promotes BV portfolio to clients
- Actively participate in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)
- Assist on request in marketing matters and client’s contacts upon request
- Participate in the training of trainees and junior surveyors

- Perform the job if necessary on customer-level, on request of the customer or when more appropriate
Requirements
- Degree in electrical & automation with min 3 years of experience in design either in a shipyard, marine consultancy, supplier or Classification Society
- Knowledge of the maritime rules & regulations
- Good communication skills
- Capability to work both in a team and independently
- Fluent in Finnish and English - both in verbal and written
- Experience or qualifications in cybersecurity are considered an advantage
