Job Title: Mainframe Developer Location: Principal Global Services, Pune Years of Experience: 7 10 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong focus on CICS to join our dynamic team at Principal Global Services in Pune. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend and API development, with a proven track record of delivering high quality solutions in a mainframe environment. This role requires a deep understanding of Mainframe technologies and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced setting. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using CICS, ensuring high performance and reliability. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Implement and optimize backend services and APIs to support business needs. Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers. Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications, providing timely resolutions. Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing. Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to mainframe development. Mandatory Skills: Strong expertise in Mainframe CICS. Proficient in COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Experience with mainframe debugging tools and techniques. Solid understanding of backend development and API integration. Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Experience with modern development tools and practices. Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Java or Python. Experience with cloud technologies and migration strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 10 years of experience in mainframe development, with a focus on CICS. Proven track record of successful project delivery in a mainframe environment. Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies are a plus.
