Welding Development Specialist / Robot and Cobot Cell Operator

Astex Engineering Oy – Lappeenranta Would you like to combine practical welding skills with new technology? We are looking for someone to develop our welding production and introduce a robot/cobot welding cell. You will take part in commissioning the cell from the beginning. The work combines hands-on work, trials and production development. Depending on your skills and interests, the role may also expand to include supervision. Your duties · Participate in commissioning and test runs of the robot/cobot welding cell. · Operate the cell and learn or develop its programming. · Develop welding methods, fixtures and work sequences together with the rest of the team. · Monitor welding quality and improve production flow. · Participate in manual welding when needed. · Depending on your skills, take responsibility for work organisation and supervision. What do we expect from you? · Practical welding experience, preferably MIG/MAG welding. · Ability to read technical drawings. · Finnish and English skills that enable you to communicate about work and understand technical instructions. · A careful and self-directed approach to work. · An interest in developing welding and learning new technology. Previous experience with robot or cobot welding, programming, welding fixtures or supervision is an advantage. You do not need to be an experienced robot-welding specialist; strong welding skills and a willingness to learn are a good starting point. What do we offer?
