After-School Care and School Assistant

Rudolf Steiner School in Helsinki is looking for a Swedish-speaking/Swedish-proficient AFTER-SCHOOL AND SCHOOL-DAY ASSISTANT We are looking for an engaged after-school and school-day assistant for our team, where we educate the people of the future. As a school-day assistant, you work closely with the class teacher and are the second trusted adult on site, ready to help when needed. As an after-school leader, you also take care of planning the after-school programme and communicating with guardians. We offer full-time work, 38.25 hours per week: 15 hours per week as an after-school leader, with an additional five hours per week for planning the after-school programme, and 18.25 hours as a school-day assistant. The position may become an ongoing employment relationship for a person who meets the qualification requirements. We value a warm and caring relationship with children and young people. Familiarity with Steiner education and versatile skills in school subjects are considered an advantage. Functional Swedish, punctuality and the ability to cooperate with different people are essential. Pay is determined according to the collective agreement for the private education sector. At present, the pay for a qualified person is €13.11 per hour, €2,136.69 with the full 38.25 hours per week. Qualification is determined under Government Decree 115/2004. A criminal record extract (504/2002) must be presented before work begins. The position begins with a probationary period in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Contracts Act.
