Experience: 10+ years in software engineering and AI/ML, 5+ years in agile environments, 2+ years leading teams; strong Python, PyTorch, C/C++, data engineering, LangChain, LangGraph; cloud experience; excellent communication and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead activities across the AI/ML lifecycle from ideation to deployment
- Develop and scale AI/ML models across life sciences, genomics, materials sciences, and healthcare
- Provide technical leadership for AI/ML models and platforms
- Establish evaluation practices and promote their adoption
- Mentor engineers and guide platform strategy
- Collaborate with backend, platform, and application engineers on model serving and deployment
- Lead a team of AI/ML engineers and solution developers
- Communicate with stakeholders through architecture diagrams and reviews
- Stay current with AI/ML advancements and apply innovations
- Lead, manage and develop a team to deliver measurable outcomes
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience in software engineering and AI/ML
- Master’s degree in AI/ML or related field; Ph.D. preferred
- 5+ years of experience in agile/scrum environments
- 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, and developing technical talent
- Proven hands-on experience with deep learning, CNNs, decision trees, clustering, ensembles
- Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, C++, C#, and other languages
- Strong data engineering skills with ETL and large-scale data processing
- Experience with LangChain and LangGraph
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI-compatible APIs
- Ability to mentor and collaborate across teams
- Excellent communication skills
