NOC Engineer

Network Operations Engineer (NOC) We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer to help build and develop our Network Operations Center (NOC) function and ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network services. What you will do: Support the setup of the NOC function, including tools, processes, and ways of working. Support the transition of network services from third-party providers to the internal team. Monitor network infrastructure, analyse alerts and performance metrics, and respond to incidents. Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive service improvements. Manage incidents, implement approved network and firewall changes, and ensure systems are patched, configured, monitored, and backed up. Maintain documentation, configuration records, and CMDB accuracy. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues. Develop scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency, including exploring AI opportunities in NOC operations. Support and coach junior NOC engineers. What we are looking for: 2–5 years of experience in a Network Operations environment. Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, Next-Generation Firewalls, and DHCP. Understanding of related infrastructure technologies (e.g., servers, cloud platforms). Experience with network monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting. Relevant certifications (e.g., Aruba, Palo Alto, EfficientIP) are an advantage. ITIL Foundation certification is preferred. Strong organisational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
