About the role

Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in enterprise cloud, data science, AI, and IoT. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to drive process improvements, own functional areas from design to support, and coach team members. The role involves developing Juju, a tool for model-driven operations across cloud and bare-metal environments. The position is remote worldwide, with travel up to four times a year for team and industry events.

Responsibilities

Own the design, delivery, and support of features in a highly concurrent, highly distributed system
Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
Debug issues and interact with upstream communities
Work with talented engineers and discuss ideas
Coach and develop team members

Requirements

Proven track record of professional software delivery using Go
Hands-on experience developing highly concurrent distributed systems
Excellent communication skills in English
Academic excellence from high school and university
