About the role

Basemark | Automotive Software Projects About the Role: Basemark is looking for a Requirements Engineer to join our automotive software engineering team. In this role, you will work within a customer-facing automotive project delivering advanced software solutions for a leading automotive manufacturer. You will play a key part in ensuring that customer and system requirements are accurately captured, structured, and maintained throughout the development lifecycle, in full compliance with ASPICE processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical detail and cross-functional communication, working closely with automotive OEM stakeholders and internal engineering teams. What You'll Do: - Gather, analyze, structure, and maintain functional and non-functional system requirements for automotive AR (Augmented Reality) projects. - Establish and maintain bi-directional traceability between customer requirements (SYS.2) and software requirements (SWE.1). - Manage change requests, including impact analysis, throughout the requirements lifecycle. - Ensure compliance with ASPICE processes (SWE.1, SUP.9, SUP.10), supporting process assessments and audit readiness. - Act as a key point of contact with automotive OEM representatives to clarify technical ambiguities, negotiate requirement scope, and refine customer specifications into actionable engineering requirements. - Facilitate requirement reviews between engineering teams, ensuring alignment and clarity across disciplines. - Support problem resolution processes related to requirements and specifications. What We're Looking For - At least 5 years of hands-on experience with ASPICE Software Engineering processes (SWE.1, SUP.9, SUP.10). - Solid knowledge of process assessments, audit readiness, and traceability compliance, as well as problem resolution and change request management. - Proven track record in gathering, analyzing, structuring, and maintaining functional and non-functional system requirements for automotive AR projects. - Proven experience establishing bi-directional traceability (Customer Requirements SYS.2 Software Requirements SWE.1) and managing change requests with impact analysis. - Proficiency with industry-standard tools for requirements lifecycle management (IBM DOORS, CodeBeamer, PTC Integrity, Jira, Confluence). - Direct experience interacting with automotive OEMs to clarify technical ambiguities, negotiate requirement scope, and refine customer specifications into engineering requirements. - Experience facilitating requirement reviews between engineering teams. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives. - Fluent English; additional languages are a plus. Location & Compensation - Location: Helsinki, Finland. The role is primarily based at our office, with on-site presence expected for most of the work week. - Salary: EUR 33,500 - 33,700 per year.
