AI Driven Development Consultant

Summary: Red Hat Consulting is seeking an AI Driven Development Consultant to join the Tokyo office. This role identifies DevOps challenges for clients and uses software engineering practices and generative AI to drive development process improvements, coach teams, embed Scrum and DevOps, provide technical advisory, and support digital transformation across client organizations. You will collaborate closely with pre-sales and consulting teams in Japan and globally, combining Red Hat and partner solutions to deliver superior consulting services. Responsibilities include guiding development projects to success, helping organizations build sustainable capabilities, understanding business requirements, architecting and implementing solutions with Red Hat and partner cloud/DevOps technologies, and partnering with internal Red Hat teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will also play a key role in shaping technology roadmaps for clients and communicating Red Hat services and case studies to domestic and international prospects. Required Skills: strong software engineering background and knowledge (Web services, mission-critical systems, CI/CD) and experience with generative AI-driven development/operations, leadership as a senior engineer or technical consultant, teaching/mentoring teams and driving organizational process changes, core consulting skills (logic, problem solving, analysis, documentation, presentation, facilitation, negotiation), proven ability to build trust with executives, fundamental knowledge of Agile/Scrum, basic English communication skills, and hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
