Senior Data Engineer - HR (m/f/d) in Garching near Munich. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer - HR for Amer Sports’ office in Garching near Munich. In this role you will build the data foundations that power workforce insights for thousands of employees around the world. You will design modern data solutions that connect information from Workday, learning platforms and other HR systems into a trusted, scalable and privacy-compliant analytics ecosystem. What you will be doing: Design and build modern HR data pipelines; Develop scalable data pipelines that integrate workforce data from Workday, learning management systems and other HR platforms; Connect systems through APIs, connector frameworks and file-based integrations; Ensure reliable and efficient movement of data across the HR technology landscape. Create a unified people data foundation; Build reusable data models that combine information from multiple HR systems into a trusted and governed source of truth; Design and maintain Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for workforce datasets; Enable flexible reporting and self-service analytics across HR functions. Drive privacy and data governance; Implement role-based access controls, data masking and security mechanisms for sensitive employee data; Ensure compliance with GDPR, internal privacy standards and local regulatory requirements; Help establish best practices for responsible workforce data management. Enable insightful HR analytics; Deliver high-quality data products supporting reporting on headcount, attrition, talent acquisition, learning and compensation; Provide trusted datasets for Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud and other analytics solutions; Improve data accessibility while maintaining the highest standards of data protection. Improve data quality and reliability; Develop automated quality checks and monitoring processes; Define and maintain data quality standards for critical HR KPIs; Collaborate with system owners to proactively resolve data issues. Partner with HR stakeholders globally; Work closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and People Analytics teams; Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions; Support users in understanding and trusting their HR data and reporting. What you need to succeed: 3-5 years in data engineering or analytics engineering; At least 2 years with HR systems (Workday) ; GDPR/privacy experience; Experience integrating multiple HR systems; Advanced SQL; Databricks/Snowflake; Python/PySpark; Workday APIs; Cloud data pipelines; RBAC, data masking; Git/CI-CD; HR reporting (Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud); Degree in CS/IS/HR or related; English proficiency and basic German.
