Machine Learning Developer

The Finnish description is the source text: The Information and Technology Department is responsible for tasks related to statistics, data services, ICT production and development, material services and laboratory services. The ICT innovations unit provides ICT development, support and innovation services to Tulli's business, and professional expertise for implementing ICT projects and deploying solutions, including training stakeholders. The developer will design, develop, evaluate and further develop machine learning models as part of the development team, with emphasis on modeling, validation, optimization, and assessing reliability and performance. The developer will design and implement subcomponents independently and be responsible for the deployment of machine learning solutions within their own area of responsibility. The role also includes sharing knowledge related to their own domain and industry expertise and training stakeholders. The developer will produce diverse modeling solutions using various ML methods, applicable to structured and unstructured data and combinations thereof. The tasks include software development to support deployment of ML models and demanding data analysis and data modeling. Modern DevOps and MLOps practices will be used.
