Kärsämäen kunta seeks a permanent carpenter/maintenance worker for the technical department. The role involves maintenance, repair and upkeep of municipal properties, including building, repair and maintenance tasks, carpentry work and related small- to mid-scale construction activities. You will perform daily upkeep, maintenance and inspection tasks of municipal properties, monitor technical systems and report or perform repairs as needed, and handle tasks related to outdoor areas, equipment, and tools. You will also participate in other maintenance, service and support tasks within the technical department as needed. We expect suitable training and practical experience in building, repair or property maintenance tasks, broad know‑how of property maintenance and retrofit construction, an initiative, careful and responsible work approach, team spirit, customer service orientation and willingness to take on varied tasks. Desirable: prior experience with municipal or public sector property upkeep, knowledge of building services systems and preventive maintenance, active safety, hot work and first aid certificates and other qualifications. A relevant professional qualification or equivalent education is required. A valid B-class driving licence is mandatory. We value hands-on approach and ability to work independently and as part of the technical department service entity. Salary and terms follow the municipal technical staff collective agreement (TS).
