The Espoo store K-Citymarket Iso Omena is one of the largest daily groceries stores in the Helsinki area and is located in Iso Omena shopping centre with great transport connections. You can apply regardless of whether you are at the start of your career or more experienced. You fit temporary work in retail if you enjoy working at different locations and feel customer service is your thing. What is the job? The online store picker job is varied, busy and requires accuracy. Customer orders are picked and packed quickly, several orders per day. The picker must be precise, energetic and able to handle many things at once. Products must be fresh and within best-before dates, and must meet the customer’s wishes. The job is physically demanding due to lifting and moving heavy products. By the end of the shift the step counter can easily show over 20,000 steps. You’ll also be expected to bring a positive attitude and good customer service as the work is often done while the store is open. Shifts run flexibly from Monday to Saturday, and mainly on the eve of holidays when online order activity is at its peak. You should be prepared to work on holiday eves. Morning people are preferred as shifts start at 6:00. Shift length is mostly 6–14 hours. You will work 0–40 hours per week flexibly around your schedule. You can reserve shifts via the Joblink app. Most shifts are booked on short notice for the same week, but sometimes you know your shifts for several weeks ahead. It’s good to know that gig work often follows our customers’ seasonal peaks—during busy times there are many shifts, and in slower seasons there are fewer. Your flexibility, attitude and initiative influence how many shifts you’ll get. Before your first shift, we will provide training. You don’t need prior experience. We value a positive attitude and willingness to learn. A previous experience in daily goods retail is useful but not required. If you enjoy variety and have the courage to take on several different locations, you’ll fit in well. You have confident Finnish language skills and must be at least 18 years old.
