The job is a versatile role as a mathematics and physics teacher at basic education and a class tutor, in a supportive, collaborative school community. Mankkaan School is a lower secondary school with about 450 students and a focus on mathematics and science, offering preparatory teaching. The workplace is accessible and welcoming. Employment is temporary with a fixed-term contract; the position is a civil service post starting 19 October 2026. Salary is according to the OVTES collective agreement. Requirements include teaching qualifications for basic education in mathematics and physics with excellent Finnish speaking and writing skills. The role requires strong classroom management, teamwork, and the ability to plan and deliver instruction that considers students’ differing support needs. A police background check is required. Desirable qualifications include experience as a class tutor, active participation in the work community, solution-oriented attitude, and experience with differentiation in physics teaching.
