Suomen Taksiliitto ry seeks a Chief Executive Officer to lead the national sectoral association and shape the taxi industry’s future in Finland. The taxi sector is undergoing significant change driven by legislation, publicly awarded transport contracts, mobility services, responsibility, technology and customer expectations. As CEO you will steer the association’s operations with the board. You are responsible for strategy execution, staff leadership, finances and governance as well as advocacy and stakeholder work. You will be a visible part of the association’s lobbying and represent the Taksiliitto in relations with decision-makers, authorities, members, media and other key stakeholders. Responsibilities include strategic and operational leadership, personnel management, finances and office conditions, planning, monitoring and developing the association’s finances, advocacy and public influence, collaboration with the board, member associations and member companies, building and maintaining key stakeholder and authority relations, and leading the association’s communications and public visibility. What we expect: a leader who can get people to act toward shared goals, with strategic vision and readiness to tackle practical questions. Successful performance requires understanding of finance and organizational leadership, and an interest in societal influence and networking. Experience in associations and advocacy is advantageous. Knowledge of the transport sector and especially taxi industry is beneficial. A suitable higher education degree is advantageous; the decisive factor is a combination of ability, experience, leadership approach and fit for the job. The CEO should also have good presentation skills and be prepared to act as the association’s public representative. We also value people management, strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse people and opinions. We offer the chance to lead a national organization that plays a central role in the development of Finnish transport and passenger services; you will influence the association’s activities and the taxi sector environment nationwide. Our board and capable staff support you. Our office is in Helsinki, Pohjois-Haaga. The monthly salary for the position depends on experience and competence, approximately 7500–9500 euros.
