The role is to work as a multidisciplinary team member in planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical activities in early childhood education. You will be responsible for co-operating with families in child upbringing and wellbeing, promoting belonging and participation in collaboration with guardians and other child-and-family actors. The position is based at Y.E.S. Päiväkoti, a bilingual daycare (English and Finnish) located on Hagelstamintie in Vantaa. The unit has 8 groups, including 2 preschool groups, and the work involves 3–5 year olds this season. We seek social workers who value positive professional interaction with children, are flexible, positive, and enjoy teamwork. You will listen to children with sensitivity and be genuinely present in their daily life, supporting their growth and learning as a positive path to be walked together with children, parents and the team. The operating culture is built on evidence-based practice using the ProVaka method to support children's social skills. The two authors commit to acting in line with the principles of the method together with the unit staff.
