About the role

Do you want to lead the development of some of the most important educational and cultural properties in Swedish-speaking Finland? The Federation for Education and Culture of Swedish Ostrobothnia (SÖFUK) is seeking a Property Manager for a permanent position. SÖFUK is responsible for education and culture throughout Swedish Ostrobothnia through the Vocational Academy of Ostrobothnia, Wasa Theatre, and KulturÖsterbotten. Our properties and campus environments form the basis of these activities, and as Property Manager, you have a key role in creating sustainable, safe, and functional learning and working environments for thousands of students, employees, and visitors. As Property Manager, you lead the joint municipal authority's property management and are responsible for the operation, maintenance, investment, and development of our property portfolio. You are an important part of SÖFUK's long-term development and actively contribute to our strategy by developing energy-efficient solutions, responsible resource management, and sustainable campus and theatre environments. The place of work is at Campus Kungsgården in Vaasa. Your main duties You lead the property department and are responsible, among other things, for: developing and managing the joint municipal authority's property portfolio from a long-term, economic, and sustainable perspective planning and leading investment, renovation, and maintenance projects responsibility for budget, operational planning, and follow-up developing long-term maintenance plans and prioritizing investments driving work on energy efficiency, sustainable property development, and good resource management responsibility for lease agreements and authority contacts within the property sector leading, developing, and supporting the employees of the property department participating in the organization's security and crisis preparedness. We are looking for someone who has a suitable university degree has sufficient experience in property management, construction projects, or equivalent activities has experience in leadership and personnel responsibility has a good understanding of construction processes, contracting, and technical property issues has experience in public procurement and contract issues or a good ability to quickly familiarize themselves with the area works in a structured, solution-oriented manner and has a good ability to prioritize has good collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills. We also value experience in strategic property development, sustainability work, security issues, and public administration.
