Early Childhood Social Worker

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Social Worker to join Ylästön päiväkoti in Vantaa. You will participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of pedagogical activities. You will be responsible for collaboration with families in upbringing, and for promoting belonging and inclusion with guardians and other child-and-family actors. You will contribute to developing services and new practices from the perspective of children's wellbeing and community. You will also be responsible for promoting child wellbeing and guiding children, families and guardians. The position is located at Ylästön päiväkoti, a 6-group daycare near Ylästön school, with nearby parks and nature. You will work in a 2–4 year old group with a teaching professional and a childminder. We value peer support, trust, and a calm, inclusive atmosphere. We expect you to be flexible, positive and a team player who listens to the child with sensitivity and participates with the group. We offer training, a supportive multidisciplinary network, and opportunities to develop your professional skills. The role is permanent, with a salary of 3113–3218 EUR per month, and a 3–8% experience-based allowance. The probation period is 6 months, and full-time employment in a municipal framework (KVTES).
