Lead with varied workdays and a broad skill set in a rolling role. The on-call nurse reinforces the Meilahti hospital area’s surgical wards (TuPlan and Vatsakeskus) serving multiple specialties (orthopedics, traumatology, hand surgery, plastic surgery and organ and liver transplantation, endocrinology and endocrine surgery, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, abdominal surgery, vascular surgery). The position begins in the TuPlan units. The on-call nurse has a pivotal role in covering sudden shift shortages. Daily placement will depend on needs. You do not need to be a master of all listed specialties upfront; we provide solid onboarding. Experience in surgical nursing and specialised inpatient care is advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Fill in for sudden shift shortages as part of the on-call team.
- Work across TuPlan and Vatsakeskus units and support multiple specialties.
- Assist in caring for patients across orthopedics, trauma, hand surgery, plastic surgery, and organ/liver transplantation, endocrinology and endocrine surgery, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, abdominal surgery, and vascular surgery.
Requirements
- Licensed nurse
- Good Finnish speaking and writing skills; acceptable Swedish proficiency or good Swedish with Finnish as a backup
