You'll work closely with customers across industries such as automotive, industrial technology, and advanced product development, helping them design and develop modern data platforms, integrations, and cloud-based solutions. Together with colleagues within software engineering, cloud, and AI, you'll contribute to projects where reliable data is essential for creating smarter products, better services, and informed business decisions. Your mission As an AI Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving data foundations that support both business-critical systems and AI-driven solutions. Your responsibilities may include: Designing and maintaining scalable data models Building and maintaining ingestion pipelines, integrations, and data flows Establishing reliable data pipelines, data contracts, and quality controls Integrating external systems and data sources Improving data quality, traceability, and observability Contributing to backend and cloud infrastructure, including databases, monitoring, and scaling Collaborating with architects, developers, product teams, and customers Supporting engineering best practices, documentation, and CI/CD ways of working Supporting data governance and responsible AI initiatives where relevant Who are you? Depending on your experience level, there will be opportunities to grow into technical leadership, architecture, and governance roles while continuing to develop your expertise within data and AI. To succeed in this role, we believe you have: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experienceStrong experience with SQL and relational data modelling Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines Experience working with APIs and integrations Experience from at least one cloud environment, preferably AWS Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts and a genuine interest in following state-of-the-art developments in AI and data engineeringFluent communication skills in both Swedish and English, written and spoken It is considered a plus if you also have experience with: PostgreSQL Python Node.js / TypeScript Snowflake and the modern data stack Data governance, AI governance, or AI solution architecture Architectural ownership within data, backend, or platform engineering Implementing or working with the EU Data Act and EU AI Act Marketplace, multi-stakeholder, startup, or other fast-moving product environments What we offer At Etteplan, you'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of customers and projects – from established industrial leaders to innovative technology companies.
