About the role

The role is to provide social work with young adults, focusing on those with special support needs, coordinating service needs assessments, client and network work, acting as a primary worker under the Social Welfare Act, and making decisions regarding client services. The work is planned, goal-oriented and client-centered. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with supportive colleagues, and there are opportunities for professional development. The main duty station is Kirkkonummi’s well-being center, with a service area including Kirkkonummi, Raseborg, Hangö, Sjundeå, Ingå and Esbo. A car is required for the job. Swedish language skills are an advantage. The role offers partial remote work and flexible working hours (7:00–18:00). Modern work tools are provided. Interviews will be held at the Espoo location (Komendajankatu 5) on 16.9, 18.9, and 29.9 (with different times). The work site name and address: Adult Social Services, Jokiniitytie 2, 02400, Kirkkonummi. Working hours: 37 h 45 min/week. Permanent position. Qualifications: Sufficient qualification under the Social Welfare Act (817/2015) §7; if no eligible applicants, an up to one-year temporary placement may be offered to a candidate meeting §12 requirements. Requires good Finnish language skills, ability to work independently and good cooperation and communication skills. A random drug test may be requested as per the Western Uusimaa welfare region drug program. Knowledge of Swedish is valued, and prior experience in youth social work and adult social services is appreciated.
