We are seeking a developer teacher for a project supporting Finnish as a second language (S2) instruction, funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education and located in Rauma's basic education system. The project runs from 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2027 (or per contract) and aims to produce sustainable and appropriate S2 curricula and supporting activities, strengthen linguistically informed teaching, and create materials to support linguistically informed pedagogy. The developer teacher will work closely with Rauma's S2 teachers, travel to schools to assist teachers in teaching linguistically informed pedagogy, coordinate the project with the steering group, and implement project activities in collaboration with that group. The teacher will develop S2 instruction and perform mobile, school- and immigrant-centric work. We value experience in project coordination, ability to work independently, strong communication and collaboration skills, and enthusiasm and skill for creating and ideating new methods. Requirements include a higher university degree and qualification as a primary school/elementary school native-language teacher for basic education.
