We are seeking a practical nurse to join our developmentally disabled and autism spectrum unit at Pikonlinna Validia House. The role focuses on guiding and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, ensuring a safe everyday life, and addressing challenging situations with calm and professional interaction. In daily work you will take care of residents’ daily routines, medication administration, activities and wellbeing monitoring. You will act as a named primary nurse for assigned clients and collaborate closely with their families. The position is a three-shift role and includes weekend work. The staff at Pikonlinnan Validia-talo specialize in caring for people with developmental disabilities and complex autism; prior experience in this area is valued, but we also emphasise learning and professional growth and provide strong onboarding and team support. The facility consists of five group homes with shared lounge and kitchen areas, and there is daytime activity and other shared activities in common spaces. There are 45 client places in total across the unit. Required is a suitable social and health care qualification as a practical nurse, registration as a licensed professional with the Public Authority JulkiSuosikki, vaccination protection in line with Infectious Diseases Act section 48 and tuberculosis screening as per section 55, a criminal record extract per social and health care supervision law, hygienic passport, and proficient Finnish language skills (spoken/written).
