Join us in providing diverse small animal practice at a friendly, warm-hearted small private veterinary clinic. We have small animal clinics in Pattijoki (Raahe) and Liminka (about 25 km from Oulu). We value good customer service and collaboration skills, down-to-earth attitude, and a good sense of humor in applicants. Ideally, you would be able to work at both clinics (distance about 45 km / 35 minutes), but you can also propose alternative arrangements. If you are interested in mixed practice, especially equine practice, we have good equipment and clientele for that as well. Both clinics are equipped with inhalation anesthesia devices, anesthesia monitoring monitors, ultrasound machines, dental calculus removal devices, in-house laboratories (hematology, clinical chemistry), and at Liminka also a plain radiography unit, dental radiography, and a dental drill unit. Additionally, we perform diverse large animal practice in nearby municipalities. We have good equipment for horse dental care (electric rasper and efficient diastemavfyllare), the possibility of tendon ultrasound examinations, and two rectal ultrasound devices. We regularly conduct health care and monthly visits to cattle and pig farms, horse dental care, some mare practice, and, if possible, emergency practice. We participate regularly in the Raahe area emergency call: we do mixed emergency duty about once a week on weekdays and one weekend per month. For emergency duty, we offer accommodation and basic practical tools (plus fetotomy, Gynstick, quick caliper), if you wish to participate. We can offer you diverse practice tailored to your interests and opportunities for further training as needed. The clinics are staffed with 1-2 veterinary nurses and sometimes another veterinarian on certain days. The employment requires at least 80% of full-time hours, but you can also propose a suitable alternative. We can hire you either as an employee or as a self-employed professional. The salary is commission-based, influenced by your job description and experience, plus competitive emergency allowances. We are primarily looking for a person who fits into our work community; your role can be tailored to suit you. The position is available immediately, and we will fill it as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
