This is a fixed-term teaching position at Martinlaakson School in Vantaa, Finland. The role mainly involves simultaneous and differentiated instruction for lower grades (3rd–6th). It also includes some teaching hours in upper grades in health education and home economics. Martinlaakson School is an all-through school (grades 1–9) with about 1000 students and a staff of around 130. The school is located in Martinlaakso with good transport links, in a modern building with up-to-date teaching facilities. The aim is to maintain pedagogical consistency across the school, with close collaboration between class teachers and subject teachers to support a unified basic education journey from first grade to completion of compulsory education. We develop the school following the ProKoulu model, which means shared goals and practices across the entire adult community to guide student behavior with positive feedback. Applicants are expected to commit to these practices. We value experience in simultaneous and differentiated instruction, flexibility as part of a large multidisciplinary team, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to plan and organize one’s own work. We offer well-equipped learning spaces and modern tools, a collegial work environment, and support from teacher mentors. Salary details follow the Municipal Education Personnel Collective Agreement; interviews may begin during the application period, and video interviews are possible.
