Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services in PHP and Go
- Drive extraction of services out of monoliths with clear boundaries
- Collaborate with Product Manager to shape technical direction
- Design APIs for AI agents and automated workflows
- Improve page speed and end-to-end performance
- Contribute to high-level architectural decisions
- Leverage AI to accelerate code delivery
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer
- Strong proficiency in PHP and/or Golang
- Proven experience designing and operating high-traffic, customer-facing systems
- Experience decomposing monoliths or extracting services
- Designing APIs (REST, GraphQL) with clarity and versioning
- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- Comfortable using AI coding tools
- Experience with AWS or cloud environments
- Experience with message queues (e.g., AWS SQS) is a plus.
