Early Childhood Education Teacher

Pilke daycare Valo is an arts- and expression-focused daycare centre that opened in Kuopio’s Saaristokaupunki district in 2018. It has 108 places across six child groups. We put our arts and expression focus into practice in many ways, taking account of children’s needs and employees’ strengths. Play, crafts, writing, visual arts, music, drama and environmental education enrich children’s thinking and learning. You can make use of your strengths and create and learn together with children and colleagues. At arts-focused Pilke Valo, we value doing things together and a sense of community. Projects of all sizes, created by children and adults together, are part of everyday life and can be seen in the groups’ play and learning environments. As an early childhood education teacher, you support and promote children’s growth, development and learning. You know the contents of early childhood education plans and can put them into practice. You plan, assess and develop the group’s pedagogical activities and contribute to ensuring high-quality pedagogy in your unit. You have a strong pedagogical approach, a positive and active attitude, good interaction skills and the ability to engage sincerely with children.
