General Practitioner

We are currently recruiting a general practitioner for student health care at our Joensuu service point for a full-time temporary position (38 hours 15 minutes per week) starting 1 October 2026 or as agreed and lasting until 31 December 2027. The appointment may also be part-time upon your wish. We work in a hybrid model combining in-person and remote consultations. You will work with a wide range of health issues typical for young adults. The topics include mental health, dermatology, musculoskeletal complaints, infections and sexual health. Students are referred to the clinic through a need assessment. We use BeeHealth's digital platform, and the role also includes remote consultations and chat consultations. We offer comprehensive onboarding, support from colleagues and supervisors, good consultation opportunities, a chance to participate in a mentorship program, training to develop your skills, and the possibility to influence your role within a meaningful patient group. Salary and terms are determined by the YTHS and the Finnish Medical Association agreements. The task-specific salary range is: General practitioners: 6668–7348 €/month; Specialists: 7410–8167 €/month. A personal salary component (6–24%) may be included in the monthly pay. Certification and opinion salaries are paid separately according to the collective agreement TES. We provide comprehensive occupational health services, as well as the ePassi benefit and arrange activities at service points that support well-being. At YTHS, working there can count toward 6 months of specialist training in general medicine (YEK). We expect a licensed medical degree or specialist qualification and a licensed entitlement to practice as a health care professional. In addition, good interpersonal skills are expected.
