We are now looking for One Part-time Research Assistant, Materials Physics, Faculty of Science to join us in Nano and Molecular Systems Research Unit (NANOMO) at the Faculty of Science. The research unit consists of a multidisciplinary team of physicists and chemists working on experimental, theoretical and computational research on various materials. The research spans a wide field of topics at the intersection of physics and chemistry. Working language of the research unit is English. About the job The position is within NANOMO and involves aspects of the interaction between materials physics, hydrogen and 6G technologies, in the Takanen foundation funded project: Resilient energy future through 6G hydrogen integration. In order to succeed and enjoy the position, we expect you to: Have a bachelor's or master's degree, or an equivalent educational background, in physics or a closely related field. Have knowledge of one or more of the following areas: physics, materials synthesis, and characterization techniques. Be fluent in written and spoken English. Have good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We also appreciate: Experience in using different microscopies and associated data analysis Programming skills Salary The position is fixed-term until 31 December 2026, starting from 15.09.2026 or as soon as possible. The position is part-time, requiring 40% of standard full-time hours. The salary will be based on the level 1 of the demand level chart for teaching and research staff of Finnish universities. In addition, a salary component based on personal work performance will be paid (maximum of 50 % of the job-specific component). The salary is approximately €950 per month (before taxes) for a 40% part-time position. How to apply? Interested?
