Arabic Interpreter

Lionbridge is seeking self-starting freelance Over-the-Phone Interpreters for ongoing interpretation projects across industries such as Legal, Healthcare and Government. Over-the-Phone Interpreters for Lionbridge are responsible for handling calls on demand to correctly identify and provide meaning in conversations between speakers of two different languages. Accept and take ownership of on-demand incoming calls and conversations. Identify the meaning of conversations across two different language types while remaining current, courteous, and professional on sensitive subjects across differing cultures and locations. Receive projects typically presented in the form of three-way calls, lasting roughly 10-30 minutes each during regular US business hours. Receive training on and use appropriate industry terminology, displaying common industry procedures and practices. Advanced abilities in Arabic and English (spoken). Exceptional memory retention, note-taking, and communication skills in the appropriate language(s). The ability to complete and pass a language assessment in the languages you will be assigned to. Prior experience in Interpretation or Language Services is a plus, but not required.
