Healthcare Assistant

A permanent position for a care assistant is available from 1 October 2026 in elderly services, in round-the-clock residential care. The initial placement is Tupasvilla in Kauhava’s Kortesjärvi. Tupasvilla is a 27-resident home. The facility emphasizes resident-centered operations, daily life individuality, and meaningful activities. Daily rehabilitation aims to maintain residents’ functional abilities and resources, and high-quality end-of-life care is central. We seek a care worker oriented to elderly care who values shared daily life with familiar residents and wants to contribute with their personality and various skills. In addition to good professional skills, we expect flexibility, ability to work independently with clients, good teamwork, and a willingness to learn. The job includes three shifts. Eligibility requires a social and health care basic qualification, i.e. a lähihoitaja (as defined by law). We require registration in the Lupa- ja valvontaviraston keskusrekisteri as a licensed professional. Finnish language proficiency is required (spoken and written). Medication licenses and a hygiene pass must be obtained. Terms and salary follow the SOTE agreement, with a task-based salary of 2686.71 €/month at the start of employment. A probationary period applies. A medical certificate and a criminal record extract (as per law) must be presented before starting. A drug test may be required for the successful candidate. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. Vaccination protection under Infectious Diseases Act and evidence regarding tuberculosis is required.
