Library Assistant

A vacancy for a library clerk at Kajaani City Library. The library clerk will work in a varied and dynamic role, combining customer service duties with collection work, promoting reading and literacy, guiding adult and secondary education group visits, cataloguing library materials, answering interlibrary loans, participating in event production and digital coaching, and handling social media and communications tasks. The required qualification is a suitable university degree or a vocational qualification with library and information studies credits (35 ECTS / 60 credits) or a professional qualification in library and information services. We value customer-service orientation, development mindset, self-direction, presentation skills, good collaboration, flexibility, and strong IT, social media and communications skills. We offer a diverse role with opportunities to develop new practices. Salary and terms follow KVTES; base pay is in pay grade 2KIR50B1 (€2658.52 per month).
