Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a preschool teacher for Kivistön day care in Vantaa for a permanent contract starting 1 September 2026 or as agreed. Kivistön day care is located in a quiet small-house area. The day care runs four groups for ages 1–5 and we also have a large forest yard. The recently renovated bright indoor spaces enable versatile activities, and we also make use of the nearby Maitorpan day care center’s large hall for gym and local parks and forest areas for outdoor activities. We are a professional, participative and dynamic workplace. You will have the opportunity to participate in the development of both early childhood education and your own work; trying things out and working together are core to us. In a multidisciplinary team you will receive support from colleagues, broad-based special educators, the development section and leaders, as our unit structures support leadership of groups and pedagogy. We participate in the ProVaka operating model, which is based on guiding behavior with positive feedback. In the model adults act as role models for children and the operating culture supports inclusive environments and consistent guidance methods that value social skills. Terms follow the Municipal Teaching Personnel Collective Agreement (OVTES). Salary: 3129.71 EUR/month. A supplement of 15 EUR/month is paid to those with the Early Childhood Education Teacher qualification and 37.88 EUR/month to those with a Master’s degree in Education; experience-based pay increases of 3–8%. Required licenses: Selected candidate must present a valid criminal background check. For those working with under-6s, a chest X-ray for tuberculosis (as per Infectious Diseases Act §55) is checked.
